Patience is an art

One of Warren Buffett’s famous quotes is, “the stock market is a device for transferring wealth from the impatient to the patient”.

Whether you’re into investing or business, patience is elementary. We live in a day and age where everyone is used to having everything they want, instantly. How did you react the last time your wifi slowed down for a while, or someone took a minute longer to open the door ? Probably not too well.

The point is that if you don’t learn to wait for things, you will never succeed. 25 year old freshers who join firms feel unsatisfied at their jobs because they don’t feel like they’re contributing to something that matters in the bigger picture. The only problem is, they don’t have the patience to work until they’re 30, and then think about this. They want everything to have come yesterday. This is not a true for all, but unfortunately, it is true for most of the people out there.

Work hard, do what you’re supposed to without being greedy for reward, and then wait till your time comes, because it will. Don’t give up just because you’re getting impatient, all that shows is your lack of commitment towards something.
