Every day, there is a new trend. A new app, a new service, a new product. And just one of these might be the next Snapchat or AirBnB. As an entrepreneur, knowledge can be your greatest asset. Every year, a company will come out with a product that just goes viral, be it the fidget spinner in 2017 or the gameboy in 1989.
Consumer behaviour is constantly changing, and if you don't keep up, you won't be able to really make the difference you were capable of. From a marketing perspective, there will always be a few social media platforms that are more popular than others. One way could be to start using these platforms after they're already established, or you could be there before the landgrab for attention begins. And there's just one way to successfully predict consumer behaviour. Practice and research.
Real life tip: Wake up every morning, and scour the app store's top 100 media apps. Install every single one you haven't used before and think you can, and keep working on it. You never know, this could be the next facebook.
